It's Been Such A Long Time....

Well, it's be a while since I last blogged. I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that my laptop took a dive and now I'm working off of hubby's laptop. It really isn't such a big deal because I can get on this whenever I want. It's just wanting to get on it I guess is the problem. It's my old laptop and I don't have any of the new pictures on it yet. I'm gonna have to order a cord that will allow me to transfer all of my old data and pics to this laptop and lets's face it...I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Procrastination....for sure.

Plus, I haven't made much headway in the weight loss department. I'm not sure why either. I'm tracking using my iphone...and that's a pain, believe me. Maybe it's because I don't like the little print or the typing with one finger that's a pain...who knows. But, I'm trying. I haven't given up....it's not an option.

I guess the last time I wrote was around St. Patty's Day, so what's been going on since then?...I'll give you the low down....

First off, a friend of mine found a beagle at one of the local parks that had been abandoned. (The dog, not the park) She posted his face on her page wanting to know if anyone could help. I have done some rescues in the past and know of a beagle rescue in southern Maryland...so I said I would take him. Well, after 2 days in our house...he wasn't going to any rescue...he's mine. I named him "Downtown Charlie Brown"...or Charlie for short...
My Charlie Boy <3

How could anybody abandon that face?  I don't know how they could do it, but they aren't getting him back now. He loves me and I love him. So, that makes 5 dogs in our double wide...2 beagles and 3 boxers.

I got to thinking...that's why they call it "fur-niture" isn't it?  LOL!

I have worked like a crazy woman widening my front flower bed and transplanting Daylilly's and Roses from the large island bed into the smaller front beds and pots. I also moved one of my arbors from the side yard to the front yard and put roses around the base of it on both sides. One side has Bantry Bay and Harlequin the other side has Eden and White Eden. So I am hoping that in a couple of years it will look real pretty in the spring.

I also put in a veggie garden this spring too. 14 tomato plants, 8 zucchini, 2 summer squash, 3 eggplant, 2 cantaloupe, cucumbers, green beans and misc. peppers, like red, green, poblano and a few others that I can't remember.  I also put in some basil, cilantro, thyme and leeks. So, with any luck I shouldn't have to buy many veggies this summer. I can almost taste those tomato sandwiches already...yummo!

I went strawberry picking a few weeks ago....

The Haul!

And made some strawberry jam....

I've also been spending a lot of time with my parents lately. Almost every time I go up to Zumba I go over to see my Mom and Dad afterwards.Helping them getting their pool ready for the summer and other things that need to be done.

No wonder when I get home I walk like a little ole lady....

Well, that's about it for me. I'm still kickin' it around here...trying to live and eat healthy and make progress on the weight loss journey. Oh, and by the way....my hubby has started doing Weight Watchers with me...not officially, but following the points thing....so that's cool.

I hope you are all having a wonderful spring time and getting ready for summer. I'll try to post more soon..... in between moving plants and Zumba classes...lol!

By the way...here is a pic of me and my Dad.
